My first computer teacher

                        My first computer teacher is Mr. G.M.. Amal Thushara. I followed a computer course in 2005 in firstly in the institute of our computer lab. When I came to that class I didn’t know anything about computer subject. Weekly I attended that class because, I like to computer subject. Our teacher teached very well, and I learned very well.                         As well as our volunteer instructor Miss. Dedunu Hettiarachchi helped a lot for me. They showed the correct path of the way. Even  now a days they help to me. I respect to my computer teachers and I never forget them.

My school is H/Nihiluwa Maha Vidyalaya.It is in Hambanthota district of southern province. It is is a small school. It has 350 student and 35 teachers. It has a library, small laboratory, dancing /music room, small play ground and a computer room. It has six buildings. The principle’s name is Mr.Gamini Shantha Kumara and the vice principle’s name is Mrs. Leela.   

COMPUTER IS THE MOST ESSENTIAL MACHINE FOR THE HUMAN

A computer is a man made programmable electronic machine. That can store, retrieve, and process data according to a given set of instruction. It is a collection of Monitor, Key board, and Mouse. We can divide computers as classification of computers. They are,

• Laptop Computers
• Note Book Computers
• Palmtop Computers
• Mainframe Computers
• Supper Computers

We can divide computers in two parts. They are input devices and output devices. Examples for input devices and output devices devices.

Computer served a vast awareness for the people. Because of using this machine we can see great deal of technical development in the community. Looking at the past, we can say present situation of the computer technology is developed highly than the past. They are different from the shapes, sizes and usage. We can by various types of computers from the market.                         Computers is forward always from speed, correctness, skillful, and storing the data and getting back. It is faster than human. But human is needed for operating it. We know that computer is used for getting information from the planets in far away from the earth. It can join to the internet and obtain the information of financial, and security forces .We realize that computer is combined for the human like a skin a tree. 

        

My Village

My village is Tharaperiya.It is a small village. It has lakes, temples, mountains, and paddy fields. It is in Hambanthota district of southern province. Paddy fields are around my village. More than half peoples are farmers. We are getting water from natural water spings.The lakes, rivers, and canals help to supply water to cultivate paddy.
                                                  In rainy season farmers are starting growing crops. In dry season they are getting their harvest. The nearest town of my village is Bliaththa.We should pass 6 KM to go to town. A bus comes from Beliaththa to my village two turn for one day.How ever the villagers are building their day today life day by day
                                         My village has a large historical value. It is said that our village has built by  King Minikirula.There are four historical temples. They are

• Mulgirigala rock temple
• Umangala rock temple
• Seelawathiya rock temple
• Galkema rajamaha viharaya

These temples has old buildings, ponds, some memorials, stone status and and stone carvings. There are no other religions in my area.

Ruhunukids are saying Internet is not a challenge for us.

We have got computers before more than one year. But I feel that both teachers and students do not use them properly. It is use for only preparing some documents. But now our computer unit is known not only in Sri Lanka but also in the foreign countries. How is this situation happened?There is a great personality who dedicate for this. He is a guider who shows the correct path to the technological world using computers. He is the teacher in charge of information technology Mr.G.M.Amal Thushara.He tries to develop the computer unit getting support from the foreign countries. He spends his personal time for giving knowledge of computers to us. He selected a group of student and trains them work with computers.I am one of student of this group. He dedicates to us spending his personal time. He teaches his technical methods by using computers. Not only has that he used these technical methods in the special occasions in the school such as taking photos. Now we have internet facilities when we work with the internet. How ever we learn how to send E-mail through internet.We went to E-village named Mahavilachchiya in Anuradapura and got a lot of experiences and knowledge about computers. This chance was given us by Horizonlanka  institute Mahavilachchiya.We give our gratitude to Mr.Nandasiri Wanninayake the leader of the institude.Our teacher guided us for this great task. For using the computers, we have to improve our English knowledge. Our teacher helped us by supplying English magazines, explaining English sentences in the computer. Also our English teacher Mrs.K.G.Somalatha helps us to produce some massages of E-mail and understand them.I’m proud to say, now our computer unite is famous as www.Ruhunulanka.org.This unit is memorable centre for all student and the villagers of my area. It is a knowledgeable place named Ruhunukids in our school mother H/Nihiluwa Maha Vidyalaya.Now  we have our own web system. We are very lucky kids because we have produced a web system ourselves with the help of our teacher.Ruhunukids are very proud and talented. Internet is not a challenge for us.
