Ramboda water falls is very beautiful and attractive. Ramboda falls is situated on the Kandi Nuwara Eliya road. Its source is Piduruthalagala. Our peak and its water find its way to Kotmale oya. It is 109 meters high and 954 meters above se level. In the area it is popularly known as “Arangi Ella” Ramboda pass is also situated in close proximity to the famous water falls. A Familiar sight to the passers by one has to take the ratter difficult approach road get a full and clear view

Saint clairs falls is known as piyaeli rejina (queen of the water falls) and it is the widest waterfall in Sri Lanka. The 80 meters high fall is situated close to Dimbulla junction on the Hatton Thalawaqkake high way. It has got the name from the tea state through which it meanders to the point of the falls. Planters called it the “Bride” in veil it is also known as the small Niagara due to its resemblance with the word renowned Niagara Falls in the US. The cascade falls as two separate Sheets of water the first is 240.9 feet wide and the second 139 feet wide. The sours of the falls are Kothmale oya a tributary.

Aberdeen Ella is one of the most famous waterfalls in Sri Lanka. Aberdeen falls originates from the Kehelgomu oya and is located on the Aberdeen Estate. The British who once ruled Sri Lanka named this estate after a famous city in Britain and because this waterfall located on this estate it was given the name Aberdeen falls. Before the Lakshapana power plant was built Lakshapana fall and the Aberdeen water falls met on Aberdeen estate and fro wed as one body of water. But since the Lakshapana power plants was constructed Aberdeen waterfalls makes its journey.

Garendi Ella is one of the most famous water falls in Sri Lanka. It is in Kotmale in Nuwaraeliya district. There is a legend foe this water fall also. As people say a white snake or a garandi was the main role. Once there was a garandi protecting the nidanaya or the treasure near this water fall. A brahkman from Malaya rate knew this settled down in Kotmale with his wife. However he caught this snake and killed it. He wanted eat its head and get the treasure. He asked his wife to cook this snake and went for bathing. After some time later a beggar and came and ask for something to eat. Brahkman’s wife was very sensitive and she gave him the head of white snake. Actually this beggar was not a human being but the spirit of killed snake. After few minutes later the brahkman came home and asked his wife to bring the head wife snake to eat. She said that she gare the head to the beggar. Hearing this news the brahkmans was very angry. He caught his wife and threw her to this water fall. The brahkman’s wife dies. This is how the name Garandi Ella falls famous.

Technology means innovation utilized in the invention of modern tools and machinery and their application in the fields of science and industry for more effective and greater production. But again we are made to feel that this definition too is not proper enough to explain the real and deepest sense of this complex term. To the common sense technology is something new which makes mankind’s process of development in science, industry and agriculture, ECT easier. Our ancestors used to use very simple machines to get their work done. In comparison we live in an area of advancement today. There are numberous kinds of tools and machines that help people get their tasks fulfilled in a lesser time. More over jobs done by machines are more close to perfection than those done by the labor of people. The Europeans originated the modern technological trend. Until then people all over the word had been no advancement of technology them. Robots and computers are most advanced technological innovation in the present world. While computers instantly perform almost every tricky task done by the human brain, robots perform man’s physical duties even more accurately.

Leo Nicholov Tolstoy was born Russia on 28 August 1828, was a world famous free thinker, philosopher and a great novelist too. He is still being respected by the literates all over the world. Born to an aristocratic family in a rural province called. Polyana of soviet Russia, Leo went to a very good school in the area. But he was a poor student. Later he started writing short stories and novels. His first novel was published when he was 24 years old. It was named “The child hood”. “The war and peace, Mother and Ana Karenina” are three other of his famous novels. Although Tolstoy was born an aristocrat disliked the snobbish behavior of the aristocratic society. Thus all his works of literature were partial to the bumble common man. Leo Tolstoy is said to have been an unattractive person. His family life too has not been peaceful. At the end this great son of Russia was died as a desolate man on a railway platform in a far away town on the 7th of November 1910.

I have to say good news about me. At last week I had to listen to happy news. It is about the receiving a computer for me. I have won a PC because I did my blog well. As my encouragement Mr. Nimal Thisera has presented a PC to me. I’m so lucky to get it. He lives in Canada. Now I can do lot of works at my home. I can relearn my lessons at my home. My teachers and friend wish me. I’m very happy and I thank to Mr. Nimal thisera.

Tsunami is a disaster. It was very unfortunate incident we dislike to remind it. I think sea and nature remind us that we are never safe. Lot of people were died this tsunami. It is as a devil. It confused lives of men. It destroyed lot of properties. But it gave a good advise to people. All people in society are similar to the nature and must love it. As sell as this tsunami reminded us that our responsibility is protecting our nature. I think this is a punishment to us given by mother of nature.

Education is main necessity of people in today. It is very useful to live in society, doing jobs. It gives us about lot of things. Not only that shows as good habits, how we live in society, what is our responsibility, as a son of soil. As well as education is use to learn lot of subjects. Some of them are Science, Mathematics and English. Computer knowledge is very important today. Let’s pay our attention to Sri Lankan education. Then we should remind great person, who is Dr. CWW. Kannangara. He was the minister of education in 1931. He realized that the prevailing education system was unsuitable to the time. Because in his education reforms Bill of 1938. He made changes which he though the educational system needed. So we could get free education. So Dr.Kannangara is a great hero. Education is provided through schools, universities and various institutes. Education built talented people such as administrators. Doctors, Engineers, Scientists, Educationist and Athletes are giving for the world by education. So education is wealth of the people. Because of we should learn well as student. It is our responsibility.
